Body neutrality influencer Sixtine made her mark as an SI Swimsuit rookie this year. The TikTok star, who first began to gain popularity because of her Swimsuit Series—a video documentation of her hunt to find the perfect mid-size swimsuit—has grown her platform to almost 900,000 followers. Her feed consists of New York City shenanigans, modeling campaigns, behind the scenes vlogs and content built around the idea that all bodies are bikini bodies.

The 25-year-old, who celebrated her milestone birthday on location in Dominica with SI Swimsuit team, was photographed by Yu Tsai in a gorgeous, earthy and Mother-Nature-inspired photoshoot for the 2023 issue.

“I was like, ‘O.K., Sports Illustrated. That would be cool. That sounds fun.’ So I have a picture of one of the girls holding her Sports Illustrated magazine in Times Square, and it’s in the bottom corner [of my vision board]. I honestly forgot it was there, and then when I got the call, I was like, this is literally on my vision board. … It’s kind of just unreal,” she told the magazine about how she essentially manifested the gig. “To me, being a rookie feels powerful and strong. I’ve always said that I never want to be just a pretty face as a model. If I have a platform, I want to be able to use it, and being a rookie allows me to do that.”
